Sobcon Concrete, Inc. was formed in 1985 by John Scarbrough and Sonny Burnette. Based in Northport, Alabama, Sobcon set out to provide concrete construction services to projects inTuscaloosa County and surrounding areas. Over the years since its establishment, we have been involved in projects all over the southeast that have consisted of a wide range of concrete construction systems. Sobcon has developed extensive expertise in both commercial and industrial construction projects.

Commercial construction projects have been the cornerstone of Sobcon's work from the very beginning. Sobcon has experience in a wide variety of commercial projects such as, office buildings, retail buildings, and restaurants. We have also provided concrete construction services for numerous church buildings and healthcare facilities. With several large institutional and educational programs in close proximity, we have been involved in construction projects for educational buildings, athletic facilities, and parking decks. Sobcon has grown to specialize in building foundation installation, slab-on-grade placement, and cast-in-place concrete wall construction for all types of commercial construction.

Sobcon also has an extensive knowledge of the ins and outs of industrial construction. Construction projects such as manufacturing plants, production facilities, and large equipment foundations are not a problem for Sobcon Concrete. We have worked on a considerable number of industrial projects and are familiar with the unique requirements and procedures associated with these types of projects. With the heavy loading and repetitive nature of the industrial field, Sobcon is accustomed to the large scale structural elements and is comfortable with their construction. We are certified with several local industries and are familiar with the security and safety training processes related to industrial facilities.
